Plain Concepts offers a specialized and personalized assessment of the use of Kubernetes to those organizations that have an Azure-based environment whose deployed applications demand high workloads.

In order to solve detected incidents and implement the necessary improvements to optimize the management and performance of services deployed in the Cloud, all the data and timely activities divided into 4 phases will be analyzed and detailed.

Assessment steps

1. Initial data collection

The first phase of the assessment is focused on performing the initial data collection of the current environments in Azure and understanding how the Kubernetes Cloud service is currently being used.

The analysis does not focus exclusively on the technical components of Azure, but also on more functional aspects, such as the criteria that have brought the client to the current state, its priorities, and objectives.

Likewise, beyond the Kubernetes infrastructure, some configuration aspects of the applications that are closely related to the effective management of the environment will be
reviewed.

The points included in the assessment are:

  • Infrastructure creation.
  • Node pools configuration.
  • Network configuration.
  • Security.
  • Monitoring, metrics, and logs.
  • General cluster configuration.
  • Cluster maintenance.
  • Docker registry management.
  • Application deployment.
  • Management of productive and non-productive environments.
  • Automation for the creation of environments in Azure.

2. Technical report generation

This phase is focused on the study of the data collected in the initial phase and in subsequent connections that will be made to the client’s tenant on Azure.

3. Executive presentation of the assessment

The executive presentation of the assessment focuses on a PowerPoint presentation of the technical assessment, but with more executive content, with summaries of the current situation.

4. Roadmap presentation

As the last point in the assessment, a three-hour session will be dedicated to the presentation of the remediation roadmap, which will detail all the activities with their prioritization that will allow the resolution of the detected incidents.

This presentation will be aimed at those technical and management profiles related to the Kubernetes environment in Azure. Each phase of the assessment lasts one day and all of them can be carried out remotely.
