The next edition of the BIEMH 2022 has already started, and we are very present

The new edition of the International Machine Tool Biennial, a national benchmark and one of the most important at the European level, returns this summer. All the latest developments of Industry 4.0 are being presented, and it promises to be the most ambitious edition in technology, solutions, and innovation so far.

We have all the details about the dates, exhibitors, and the agenda. We also make the front pages of the newspapers thanks to our solutions. Don’t miss it!

BIEMH 2022

The BIEMH is the meeting point for professionals from the automotive, aerospace, construction, energy, and railway sectors, with companies specialized in revolutionizing industrial advances.

This will be the 31st edition and will bring together more than 42,000 participants worldwide to showcase the latest technological advances, industrial solutions, robotics, and innovation.

BIEMH 2022 Dates

The fair returns with the same essence as always after the cancellation of its last edition, in 2020, due to the pandemic.

The Biennial takes place from June 13 to 17 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Under the slogan “More BIEMH than ever,” it aims to become the platform for a reunion that reactivates contacts between all parties and where innovation, business, and new opportunities will be promoted

BIEMH Exhibition | Recap

In addition to the exhibitors’ pavilion, the BIEMH has organized various conferences, meetings, and debates, which will be the perfect opportunity to learn about the latest technology, market opportunities, and the keys to moving towards a more advanced future. Here is the complete plan of the conferences for you to consult the schedules.

The fair began with the inauguration of the Basque Prime Minister Iñigo Urkullu, several councilors, and mayors, as well as other authorities, where he claimed the industrial leadership of the Basque Country was based on machine tools. This edition had 1,446 exhibiting companies from 28 countries showing 3,500 machines, products, and services.

We were able to attend a tour of the entire Industry 4.0 fabric, as well as several specialized events such as the Additive Manufacturing and 3D Fair and the Digital Transformation Fair applied to the industry.

The fair was highlighted by digitalization, where the current situation of energy and raw materials is presented as an unprecedented challenge in which the best solution is to move towards digitalization and sustainability.

We have been able to see advanced manufacturing ecosystems such as:

  • Start-up machinery (22% of exhibits)
  • Components and accessories (20%)
  • Automation and robotics (14%)
  • Forming machinery (13%)
  • Tooling (12%)
  • Services (10%)
  • Metrology and CAD-CAM (9%)

A wide variety of proposals, which, undoubtedly, have stood out the most have been automation and robotics. A field in which we have a lot to say.

Plain Concepts at BIEMH 2022

It will be an edition marked by the reunion and the best appointment for companies belonging to smart manufacturing to meet the suppliers that best fit their needs.

We could not miss this opportunity so that Plain Concepts will be present together with TECNALIA in Hall 1 – stand E-11. We will present our joint proposal in which we will be accompanied by Spot, the most advanced quadruped robot in the industrial sector. This is one of the main elements of the collaboration between both organizations, as we want to integrate these new robot models with developments in flexible robotics and AI technologies for different industrial applications: monitoring of industrial environments (both teleoperator and autonomous), mapping of facilities, access to high-risk environments for people, etc.

Our presence at the fair has generated such a stir that we have appeared on several front pages of Basque media such as El Correo or on national television stations such as Antena 3, talking about these advances applied to the industrial sector. The attendees have not been able to resist visiting our stand, and we are receiving visits from all kinds of companies and onlookers.

We look forward to seeing you at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre!
