    Introduction

Plain Concepts took its experience of helping companies adopt technology and artificial intelligence to the Spanish Embassy in Berlin on 9 October. Shervin Shahsavari, lead VP for Impact Studios & Business Strategies, was one of three speakers on the panel “Building the Europe of the future together”, alongside Mattia Moscardino, CEO of GMV Germany, and Gerd Hunno Philipps, country manager for Indra Group in Germany.

The panel was part of the 2026 meeting of Spanish companies in Germany (Encuentro de Empresas Españolas en Alemania), organised by the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Berlin. More than 70 business and institutional representatives attended to discuss what it takes to establish a business in the German market and how the two countries can work together on the challenges they share in Europe.

The panel looked at Spanish-German technology collaboration

The discussion started from the idea that Spain and Germany bring different technological, industrial and business strengths, so European challenges are better tackled when those strengths are combined. For that collaboration to work, Shahsavari and the other speakers stressed the importance of building a local presence in the country, understanding the cultural differences that shape the way people work and using talent as a bridge between the two markets.

Shahsavari spoke from the experience of Impact Studios, the Plain Concepts unit that helps companies turn technology and artificial intelligence into faster decisions and measurable business results by combining strategy, delivery and intelligent agents.

Three companies explain how they settled in Germany

The day opened with a first panel at which Talgo Deutschland, Procubitos and Care Vision explained how they got through the initial stage of setting up in Germany, what they had to adapt to the particularities of the market and what has allowed them to create value over the long term.

Taken together, the two panels linked two closely related questions, since the way a company grows in the German market also shapes what it can contribute, through that local presence, to stronger European cooperation.

A reception for Spain’s National Day closed the event

The meeting ended with a reception hosted by the Spanish ambassador to mark Spain’s National Day, where conversations between companies and institutions carried on in a more informal setting.

We would like to thank the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Germany and the Economic and Commercial Office of Spain in Berlin for inviting us to share what we have learnt with other companies that, like Plain Concepts, are building their presence in Germany.
