In the framework of the Envision AI Connection Madrid, Microsoft has gathered its main customers and partners in Spain to present its latest developments in responsible AI, as well as to provide training on its solutions, share experiences, and learnings in the deployment and adoption of GenAI and analyze its impact.

Microsoft Envision AI Connection Madrid: Highlights
The event featured technical sessions and training courses with a focus on AI, as well as content aimed at business decision-makers in different areas, to deepen the cross-cutting impact of AI in organizations.
They also gave prominence to sustainable innovation, with an analysis of how the public cloud can contribute to achieving the environmental sustainability objectives of organizations.
The day featured more than 30 sessions, divided into six main thematic blocks:
- New Cloud region.
- Realising the potential of AI.
- AI for the enterprise.
- Innovation for more technical IT audiences.
- Education in AI time.
- Impact of the ISV Venture Hub and Startup ecosystem.
Spain Central
One of the big announcements at the event was the official opening of its new cloud region, called Spain Central, which is now generally available to any organization wishing to use the provider’s cloud services.
Alberto Granados, President of Microsoft Spain, was in charge of explaining the magnitude of what this will mean for the Spanish ecosystem and for the company itself: ‘Microsoft places this cloud region among the five most important in Europe. It will help organizations, both public and private, to accelerate their digitization and boost their strategies based on artificial intelligence, what we call the AI Economy in Spain”.
Microsoft will invest $2.1 billion between 2024 and 2025, responding to the growing demand for AI and cloud solutions in the country, which could add more than $10.7 billion to the national GDP and contribute to the generation of nearly 77,000 jobs, according to IDC.
Las tecnologías que se ofrecen en Spain Central son, entre otras, los más modernos servicios de productividad, analítica de datos, ciberseguridad, computación y almacenamiento (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform). También se incluyen servicios de Inteligencia Artificial generativa, situando así a esta región cloud entre las más avanzadas de Europa. La nueva región de centros de datos proporcionará servicios en la nube con alta disponibilidad, escalabilidad y seguridad, incluida la opción de residencia de datos en el país para las organizaciones españolas.
Main Partner of Intel
Intel was the main technology partner of the event, and in her presentation, Eva Linares, the company’s partner sales manager, presented Plain Concepts as its partner of reference.
This collaboration is closely linked to Intel Granulate, an easy-to-deploy cloud computing solution that improves application performance with autonomic real-time workload optimization.
Designed for hybrid and native environments, it helps enterprises improve application performance without having to modify code.
