Plain Concepts is a Spanish company of international scope founded in 2006 with the aim of developing software solutions with Microsoft technologies and has been recognized as Gold Partner, Mixed Reality Partner in Europe and USA, AI partner by Microsoft and Hololens Partner.
Plain Concepts is the first Microsoft Mixed Reality Partner in Spain and its main goal is to develop customized solutions to meet the specific needs of each organization.
We are a pioneer in the development of all types of technologies, with a research team made up of several MVPs that since January 2020 are already analyzing all the capabilities and possibilities offered by the new features of HoloLens 2, such as greater precision and wider field of view, language processing capacity, user authentication and much more natural interaction with holograms.
All these innovations will allow us to further transform business processes in areas that will produce great competitive advantages, such as Industry, Energy, Water, Construction, Engineering, Smart Buildings, Medicine, Retail or Logistics.
In addition, we collaborate with Microsoft both nationally and internationally, in order to demonstrate how the use of HoloLens 2 can transform companies from different sectors, including various demonstrations of Augmented Reality currently available in the Microsoft MTCs in Madrid, Frankfurt and the HoloSuite in Amsterdam.
On 12th February 2020, Plain Concepts and Microsoft held a press conference where several journalists were able to learn about some of the use cases of HoloLens 2 in various industries, such as Construction, Healthcare, Immersive Remote Assistance or virtual guides for complex engineering tasks of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides.
The development presented by Plain Concepts during the press conference was an industrial maintenance electrical panel with Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality that enables companies to:
- Accelerate the process of recruiting people
- Improve and automate repair request processes
- Guide operators through virtual assistants that help them do their job more effectively
- Optimize anomaly detection with computer vision
- Reduce staff travel costs and get support by the most knowledgeable people in the company
“Over the next few months we will be organizing different demo sessions with HoloLens 2. During these sessions we will showcase our remote-assisted maintenance demos, designed to help during medical diagnosis, biopsies, in the planning of surgeries or in applications for logistics and retailers”, says Pablo Peláez, CEO of Plain Concepts.
