We have been chosen as one of the best Big Data Consultancy and Service Providers in Europe

We continue to work tirelessly to provide our clients with the best data services, and that effort has been rewarded with new recognition for our team. The prestigious CIOReview magazine has chosen Plain Concepts as one of the Top 10 “Best Big Data consulting and service providers” in Europe.

Top Big Data Consulting and Service Providers

CIOReview is a leading technology magazine that is at the forefront of guiding companies with information on business solutions and services. It serves as a trusted source of knowledge and a platform for C-suite executives, industry experts, technology buyers, and executives to share their knowledge about new technology trends in the market.

It stands out for its didactic and informative approach, providing data on the technology tools that act as the backbone of companies in various industries and recognizing the value of those that excel in this mission.

Every year it makes a ranking of the best companies in different technologies, and, in this 2023 edition, they wanted to highlight the great work of Plain Concepts as one of the “Best European Big Data Consulting and Service Providers”.

Harnessing the Value of Data to drive Innovation

To celebrate this award, Quique Martinez, CEO of Plain Concepts, has conducted an interview in which he talks about how Plain Concepts approaches the current challenge of enterprise data and the current boom of generative AI.

Companies generate a huge amount of data stored in data repositories with unlimited business potential. Plain Concepts generates a value chain with this data with the help of cloud computing, AI, or Machine Learning. They transform data into useful information, helping clients to embed a strong data culture and thus evolve their business.

“In a world where the boundaries between physical and digital environments are blurred, our best bet is digital twins, where we replicate virtually all the company’s assets, processes, and people. We connect them to achieve innovative and captivating solutions while incorporating the most cutting-edge technologies available,” says Quique Martinez.

Plain Concepts’ approach to tackling the Big Data problem is to approach the data with a primary assessment of its maturity. Subsequently, a business case is defined to generate quick value and detect end-to-end needs before developing an MVP. Depending on the maturity of the data, we perform all the data curation, obtaining the maximum value in the lowest return.

Actual Big Data Success Stories

To achieve this recognition, the magazine has taken into account customer success stories, such as the agreement with FRoSTA GMBH, a leading producer of high-quality frozen food, for which we are developing and implementing their digitalization strategy for their “Idea 2 Market” process. The partnership aims to work together to simplify, harmonize and digitize the existing Idea 2 Market process with the help of innovative technologies to increase sustainability, transparency, and efficiency in the entire process chain for the future.

Another project is Excalibur, the tool with which Repsol uses statistical and mathematical techniques to analyze the information needed to reduce the risk of error and optimize the process of detecting and extracting oilfields. We have developed a tool for them that generates 3D geological models to simulate a deposit. Thanks to these models, it is possible to naturally visualize the results of the analysis by combining geological data and analogous reservoir information.

This technological development is particularly useful for the most uncertain reservoirs, the virgin ones, which represent the biggest challenge for the industry because there is hardly any information about them.

Also noteworthy is the project with Heijmans, which focused on the framework of smart cities and following the digital twin models. We have developed a system to monitor traffic on the main roads in the Netherlands, as well as traffic signals and lights, enabling digital asset management and advocating sustainability. It is a digital monitoring system that is able to measure the real-time load and performance of buildings, public spaces, or bridges to be studied and analyzed their specific situation to ensure that the facilities are safe and will function perfectly and to predict what their lifetime will realistically be.
