MyPublicInbox: Messaging platform for communicating with relevant personalities
Currently, the high number of queries we receive through all available channels makes it impossible to manage communications efficiently and becomes a source of frustration and wasted time.
In addition, the excessive exposure of our contact data on the Internet entails risks of which we are sometimes unaware: identity theft, spam, malware, information and password theft…..
How to achieve a smooth and hassle-free communication? Is it possible to contact a relevant person in a respectful way?
MyPublicInbox is an application that was born as a solution to the frequent misuse of digital communication channels when trying to contact someone we do not know and who has not asked us to write to them.
The goal was to create a platform with two types of profiles: public profiles to be contacted and contactors who wanted to communicate with the former.
The initial challenges were numerous: defining how to establish communications, types of profiles, maximum length of messages, registration process, internal management tool… And one of the main challenges: to create the dashboard of the profiles and the management of the messages received.



The process
To achieve all these goals, we developed an application in React with Typescript, hosted in Azure.
It is a Single Page Application (SPA) that offers a unique user experience on both mobile and desktop.
As the priority was to achieve service in the shortest possible time, an architecture was chosen that allows the implementation of new functionalities in a very fast and simple way, but without neglecting quality and security guarantees.
One of the most relevant aspects is the use of Azure Active Directory B2C, an identity management service for personalized control of registration, login and profile management so that third parties can register themselves.
This has resulted in a stable and user-friendly platform for all types of profiles.
