All the news from the BIEMH 2024!

The new edition of the International Machine Tool Biennial, a national benchmark and one of the most important at the European level is back stronger than ever. All the new developments of Industry 4.0 are being presented, and it has become the most ambitious edition in technology, solutions, and innovation so far.

We have all the details about dates, exhibitors and agenda. Plus, we’ll present our solutions there – don’t miss out!

BIEMH 2024

The BIEMH is the meeting point for professionals from the automotive, aerospace, construction, energy, and railway sectors, with companies specializing in revolutionizing industrial advances.

This will be the 32nd edition, and will bring together more than 1558 exhibiting firms from 29 countries and registered visitors from 75 countries around the world to showcase the latest advances in technology, industrial solutions, robotics, and innovation.

As this year’s guest country, Mexico will have more than 70 Mexican companies from the automotive, aerospace, household appliances, molding, and distribution sectors, among others, at the show.

BIEMH 2024 Dates

The Biennial is taking place from 3 to 7 June at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. Under the slogan ‘More BIEMH than ever’, it sets out with the aim of becoming a platform for the reunion that reactivates contacts between all parties and fosters innovation, business, and new opportunities.

BIEMH 2024 will have large machinery in operation as the protagonist and will host, in parallel, three other events linked to the industry: ADDITƐD, BeDIGITAL, and WORKinn Talent Hub.

Feria Bilbao BIEMH |Summary

In addition to the exhibitors’ pavilion, the BIEMH has organized a varied program of conferences, meetings, and debates, which will be the perfect opportunity to find out about the latest technology, market opportunities, and the keys to moving towards a more advanced future. We leave you the complete agenda of the conferences for you to consult the schedules.

The fair began with the inauguration by the Basque Premier Iñigo Urkullu, several councilors, and mayors, as well as other authorities, where he claimed the industrial leadership of the Basque Country based on machine tools.

The fair stood out for digitalization, where the current situation of energy and raw materials is presented as an unprecedented challenge in which the best solution is to move towards digitalization and sustainability.

We were able to see advanced manufacturing ecosystems such as:

  • Manufacture and distribution of machines for removal and deformation (35 %)
  • Robotics and automation (20 %)
  • Tools and accessories (12 %)
  • Digitalization applied to industry (9%)
  • Mechanical components (9%)
  • Production and business services (6 %)
  • Additive manufacturing and 3D (5 %)
  • Metrology (4 %))

Also new this year is a separate area for robotics, automation, and digitalization, as well as the Robot Demo zone, where leading companies will show Cartesian, articulated, industrial, autonomous, and AMR robots in action.

Plain Concepts at BIEMH 2024

This is an edition marked by the reunion and the best appointment for companies belonging to smart manufacturing to meet the suppliers that best suit their needs.

We could not miss this opportunity, so Plain Concepts is present with TECNALIA in Hall 1 – stand E-11. We are presenting our proposal in which we are accompanied by Spot, the most advanced quadruped robot in the industrial sector. This is one of the main elements of the collaboration between both organizations, as we want to integrate these new robot models with developments in flexible robotics and AI technologies for different industrial applications: monitoring of industrial environments (both teleoperator and autonomous), mapping of facilities, access to high-risk environments for people, etc.

This year, we have added the novelty of a robotic arm that further enhances the capabilities and possibilities of the robot, so don’t hesitate to stop by the stand to see it firsthand!
